Governance
The Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors oversees the operations and activities of the affiliate. This board consists of 12-24 community volunteers. The Board strives to maintain a diverse composition to better serve the overall decision making process critical to a successful affiliate.
Board members may serve two terms of three years each. Officers, duties and other issues are present in the bylaws. These bylaws are reviewed on a regular basis.
This Board is ultimately responsible for the activities and funds of the affiliate. Their primary purpose, in addition to overseeing operations, is the raising of funds. For this reason their commitment to the Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity is very important.
