Frito Lay Work Day

September 24th, 2009
Volunteers from Frito Lay worked hard in building Lori’s shed, painting the front door, picking up the yard, seeding the front yard, and cleaning the whole house. Frito Lay also covered all the material cost of the shed and Lowe’s donated the seed and hay for the front yard. ESP Home Repair led the way in constructing the shed. Thank you to Frito Lay and ESP Home Repair for their hard work.

Garrison Construction Workday

August 21st, 2009
Garrison Construction became involved with Lori’s house much later and became a huge resource in getting so much accomplished. On a day that the crew normally has off, the whole Garrison Construction crew worked on Lori’s house. In one day, they built the steps and handrails in front, dug the electric line, set the retaining wall, installed the flooring, installed the cabinets, installed the tile in the bathroom, and poured the walkway in front. Later on, many others from Garrison worked on this house through the weeks installing the trim and other work around the house. Thank you to Lowe’s, Herrman Lumber, Dick Replogele, Owens Drywall, Ed’s Electric, Ridout, and Barton’s for their $2,000 gift card that helped so much.

Marine Youth Program Workday

August 15th, 2009
Volunteers from the Marine Youth program spend the day doing a massive yard and house cleanup. This huge effort lead the way in getting Lori’s house on the road to completion. Wild Bill Roofing and many other volunteers were on hand and several kids learned how to install siding. It was great workday as all the Marines and soon to be Marines worked hard all day. Many of the Marines were involved in the beginning of Lori’s house as well. Thank you to all with worked on this fun day.
